Today, the Tanguy Matériaux group is a major player in the distribution and manufacture of building materials in western France, with over 950 employees, 65 branches and 18 subsidiaries
As construction and public works company, its employees are divided between the branch, the head office and the field. Before to the introduction of Steeple, communication was relatively reserved and discreet, with particular difficulty in transmitting information in real time to all sites. These obstacles to internal communication made it more difficult to create links between employees.

Sharing information was a real challenge within the company. Sites spread across the West were unable to communicate with each other, which also made it difficult to pass on information.
For management, it was imperative to address this lack of internal communication, which was significantly impacting employees, affecting their sense of belonging, their well-being and the effectiveness of the team as a whole.
To address this situation, solutions were needed to facilitate the flow of information within the company, encourage collaboration between the different sites and strengthen team cohesion within a team that does not always have a computer.

It's impossible for us to visit all 65 agencies, but thanks to Steeple, everyone has a photo and everyone can share messages. Several times, when I've visited an agency, people have recognised me because I've published on Steeple. This is something that I don't think would have been possible a few years ago with a simple intranet.

These days, it's not just the people in the office who can switch on a computer every morning who are aware of the information shared by management. This has changed thanks to Steeple. Information is now centralised and available to everyone. This prevents time wastage due to disparate information and ensures that employees have the same information almost instantaneously.
Communication within the company is now very simple and fluid, with a real diversity of information. For example, job vacancies shared by head office used to be distributed only to a small proportion of employees, and not to all of them. This is no longer the case.

This tool facilitates the creation of a strong sense of belonging within a community, enabling everyone to share their daily lives. It plays an essential role in bringing the various Tanguy Matériaux sites closer together. Although employees are scattered between the field and the offices, they can communicate and share information transparently.
It's an opportunity to showcase the company's various projects and workstreams, and even to encourage individual missions through likes and comments. This communication becomes participative, encouraging better mutual knowledge thanks to the creation of an internal company community.
